Programme Scheme Description Technology Interventions for Disabled and Elderly (TIDE) Programme of Department of Science and Technology had a wider perspective of Scientific Research, Design and Development of affordable and adaptable Science and Technological (S&T) solutions for providing greater autonomy to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and Elderly. The TIDE Programme provide grant-in-aid support for Research and Development (R&D) in Assistive Technology (AT), Design and Development of Prototypes, Processes and Protocols, Validation, Large Scale Field Trials, Scaling up etc. Project proposals must address the issues for improving the daily and/or professional lives of disabled and elderly through STI Solutions. Project Proposals under the following categories may be submitted.
(1) Developing at least a Technology Readiness Level 5 (TRL 5) AT products (2) Enhancing Technology Readiness Level through Large-Scale Field Trials of products (which are at TRL 5 – Technology validation in relevant environment) (3) Scaling up of products in collaboration with industry partners |

Programme Scheme Description
The Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) Scheme of Science for Equity Empowerment
and Development (SEED) Division of Department of Science and Technology (DST) had
a precise mandate of delivering science led solutions and development of
location specific appropriate technologies for improvement of livelihood system
and creation of sustainable livelihoods for Scheduled
Tribe (ST) Communities.
Project under TSP Schemes ensure holistic development of ST
Communities in the context of Growing Aspirations and improve the Quality of
Life with the inputs of Science and Technology (S&T). The projects
should aim at (i) Development need-based Science and Technology
(S&T) solutions to address the identified challenges of ST
Communities,(ii)
Improving the Livelihood System efficiency through
S&T Interventions (iii) Creating sustainable livelihood
opportunities through local resource management, skill development, STI
capacity building and S&T led entrepreneurship (iv) Strengthen the S&T
delivery mechanism and (v) Improve the efficiency of
Welfare System through Science Technology and Innovation (STI)

Programme Scheme DescriptionThe WISE SCOPE Fellowship program of the Department of
Science & Technology (DST) aims
to provide opportunity to Women Scientists and Technologists who have completed
Ph.D. and want to utilize their S&T knowledge and expertise for the benefit
of society. This program promotes projects that directly deal with challenges
at grassroots level and address them through S&T interventions. Project
proposal should include the development of viable technology/technique with
possibility of lab-to-land transfer,
adaptation and scaling up for the benefit of society under identified broad
thematic areas. |
