Programme Scheme DescriptionDepartment of Science Technology DST, Government of India is coordinating and implementing two out of eight national missions on climate change under National Action Plan on Climate Change NAPCC. These are – National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem NMSHE and National Mission on Strategic Knowledge for Climate Change NMSKCC. One of the objectives of these National Missions is to build ST capacity in the areas of climate change at the State level. Proposals are invited for the 2nd phase of the State Climate Change Cell SCCC under NMSHE and NMSKCC Missions to enable up-scaling the work done in phase-I and to consider the current SAPCC in line with the INDC along with establishing linkages with the stakeholders by all the State CC Cells |

Programme Scheme DescriptionThis is a special call of proposal for establishing new State Climate Change Cells under the National Mission for Strategic Knowledge on Climate Change NMSKCC. The programme is being implemented by State Government as identified by MoEFCC as a nodal agency to implement State Action Plan on Climate Change in their respective states. These cells are established to take up vulnerability and risk assessment, human capacity building programmes, public awareness programmes and institutional capacity building apart from other research work. |

Programme Scheme DescriptionThis is a special call for proposal to carry out the climate change risk assessment at district level and state level in the country. This excercise is in continuation to the vulnerability assessment carried out in phase-I at district level and state level across the country as part of the deliverables under the National Mission on Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem NMSHE and National Mission for Strategic Knowlege on Climate Change NMSKCC. The target of work involves development of a Common Framework, Manual, Methods and Guidelines for Risk Assessment carrying out the National-level risk assessment at state and district level for and Dissemination of risk assessment guidelines and maps through the stakeholders from state UTs. |

Programme Scheme DescriptionThis is a special call for proposal for assessing and designing a climate technology road map for Select Sectors under the National Mission for Strategic Knowledge on Climate Change NMSKCC. The programme primarily focuses on identifying and relooking into the technology needs for different sectors specially Power and Energy, Industry, Transport, Agriculture, Waste etc as per the changing socio-economic scenario for reducing GHG emissions, Renewable energy generation and its associated issues and identify Energy efficient technologies in priority SME sector/clusters for piloting demonstrating by relevant Ministries. It will also aid in setting up for priority technology assessment, evaluation, formulation, deployment and diffusion of technologies for mitigation and adaptation purposes. Through this programme, it is envisaged to create a network of experts that tap into the global pool of scientific expertise available in the open scientific community. |
