National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) under the theme “Science and Innovation for Sustainability”:
The National Children's Science Congress (NCSC) is a flagship program launched in
1993 by NCSTC Division, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.It provides a platform for children to explore and present innovative, research-based solutions to local problems using scientific methods. NCSC has inspired lakhs of young minds to engage in grassroots scientific inquiry, fostering creativity, critical thinking,and environmental awareness. 1.Empowering STEM Students for Community Engagement and Career Exploration through Samvaad
‘Samvaad’, a new initiative, is aimed towards catering to the experiential learning needs of students enrolled in STEM courses in higher education institutions and universities. Samvaad is intended to bridge the gap by giving an opportunity to encourage, engage & connect with community and research fraternity thus empowering STEM students for research and career exploration. The concept involves students (Samvaad Mitr) to connect with community and identify challenges at grassroots to catalyse research and mentors (Samvaad Gurus), to engage students through specially designed toolkits/modules for identifying their strengths in scientific pursuits to empower.
2.Science and Technology Communication Tools
To promote research & innovation in the field of toys, games and other teaching-learning materials leveraging S&T principles, NCSTC invites proposals under following components:
•Traditional Scientific Toys and Games: Focus on preserving, validating and value addition of traditional scientific toys, games;
•Advanced Scientific communication tools: Leveraging advanced technologies to develop games for experiential learning and augmenting cognitive skills
•Value Added Learning Materials: Development of teaching-learning materials, specific toolkits and modules on application of AI in S&T to augment learning skills in STEM fields.
3.Bhartiya Ganita Literacy
To recognize and promote India’s mathematical heritage and literacy in Bhartiya Ganita to stimulate mental calculation ability, confidence and interest in mathematics among students and teachers and public:
•Fundamentals of Sulba Sutras and Sutras/Sub-Sutras for geometry, algebra, arithmetic calculations, numerical methods for cognitive development and algorithmic thinking/design
•Application of Bhartiya Ganita within broader modern education and more specifically within computing, programming languages and AI models/tools/applications.
•Innovative Ideas, Methods, Tools, Workbooks and Problem Design to integrate, popularise and disseminate Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) and Indian Mathematical Heritage concepts, methods, symbols, icons, artifacts within the modern context with the purpose of achieving mainstream awareness, use and establishing universal mindshare and recall.

•Frontier domains like quantum computing, semiconductors, AI and Robotics, etc
6.Hands-on Science Programme
Science on Wheels Science Buses and Mobile Labs with low-cost experiments, creative learning and outreach sessions.
7.National Science Day Celebration and any other innovative idea of science communication.
